DAVID MITTELSTADT brings 34 years of transactional tax experience to the firm. David has in the past worked as a tax attorney in major national firms including Shearman & Sterling and Fish & Richardson, and he also spent over seven years as the in- house US Tax Counsel for the Canadian controlled Thomson Corporation group (now Thomson Reuters). David also spent several years in his own tax practice. So he has seen tax issues from diverse perspectives. His practice has spanned from representation on very large international transactions to representation of small, local, and startup businesses. Practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, corporate financial structuring, general corporate, LLC, and partnership tax planning, and the US tax aspects of international transactions.
